Michael Fassbender on Assassin’s Creed
Actor Michael Fassbender has had a successful career as far as movies go. This includes roles in 300, Inglourious Basterds and most notably young Magneto in the X-Men franchise.
Fassbender is taking his work in another direction, with his latest project being filming for Assassin’s Creed, which is a sci-fi movie based directly off of the video game series of the same name. The movie is set to be released in December of 2016, after being pushed back from its original date for this summer.
For those who are unaware, the Assassin’s Creed game series tells the story of characters who live in the present day, using a device called the Animus to witness and live out the memories and life stories of ancestors in their past. The extremely successful series has gone through several different time periods, starting from the Third Crusade up through the Renaissance and recently into the French Revolution. Over the course of the games, characters in the present are part of one plot that heavily relies on what the story is in the historical parts.
With this being a video game-based movie, AskMen and Anastasia Date feel there is a huge challenge to it, as Fassbender knows, saying that it’s very dense and full of material, so much that the most crucial plot points need to make it. However, the basic plot of this film is not known.
