Dr. Avi Weisfogel is the owner of the Dental Sleep Master Seminar Instructor based in New Jersey and has an extensive experience in sleep disorders and sleep treatment. He started Dental Bridge Care in 1999 and ran the office for over 15 years where he earned accolades from the community including being named the multiple-year Best Dentist. During that period, Dr. Weisfogel started exploring the sleep world and studying how physicians and dentist can assist patients experiencing sleep disorders. In 2010, he founded Healthy Heart Sleep; a firm that worked closely with physicians from across the world guiding them on the management and establishment of sleep laboratories.
To enable dentist adequately understand sleep patients, Dr. Weisfogel started Owner Unlimited Sleep in 2012. He also established Dental Sleep Masters in 2014 to further help dentist enter into the world of sleep by using oral appliances to deal with sleep problems. As the owner of Dental Sleep Masters, Dr. Weisfogel makes use of his in-depth sleep apnea knowledge to help patients receive the necessary treatment while helping dentist identify the potential patients.
According to Dr. Weisfogel, risk factors increase immensely with age and excess weight though obstructive sleep apnea can affect almost everyone at any age. In fact, approximately 50 percent of patients suffering from sleep apnea have excess weight; a connection that is caused by problematic fat positioning. Nevertheless, Dr. Weisfogel says that the disorder is not limited to only overweight individuals.
Dr. Weisfogel spent the first 15 years of his career as a dentist where he had always been interested in the industry of sleep medicine. He, therefore, combined these passions with his background in marketing to achieve his goals. On a daily basis at his office, Dr. Avi Weisfogel spends his time from 8 a.m. to 7 a.m. engaged in business meetings, making calls, speaking with his colleagues, and writing blog posts. He keeps himself productive by sticking to his schedule. Dr. Weisfogel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology from Rutgers University and a Doctor of Dental Science from the College of Dentistry, New York University.
