Mikhail Blagosklonny developed a hypothesis regarding TOR (Target of Rapamycin) signaling potential role in Cancer and aging. He proposed the use of Rapamycin, which is a popular cancer drug to be a possible treatment for life extension.
He firmly believes that cancer can be controlled through the control of aging activities of the cell and that’s why he strongly advocated for the use of Rapamycin. The professor is considered to be the most enthusiastic advocate for Rapamycin in longevity research.
